This facility is for adult inmates.

The San Patricio County TX Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 300 N Rachal Ave Sinton, TX which is operated locally by the San Patricio County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. San Patricio County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Sinton Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

ALL INCOMING NON PRIVILEGED MAIL IS OPENED AND INSPECTED BEFORE BEING DELIVERED TO INMATES IN THE SAN PATRICIO COUNTY JAIL! ALL PRIVILEGED INCOMING MAIL IS OPENED IN FRONT OF THE INMATE WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF INSPECTING FOR CONTRABAND

APPROVED PROPERTY THROUGH MAIL
• Paperback books mailed directly from publisher or bookstore
• Pictures (no gang, pornographic, alcohol, drug, or tobacco related)
• Reading or Prescription glasses
• Magazines with subscription to inmate only (no gang, pornographic, alcohol, drug, tobacco, tattoo related)
• Newspapers with subscription to inmate only
• Stamps

NOTE: Any other items sent through the mail will be mailed back to sender, if not opened, or placed in the inmate’s property.

Patricio County Jail – VISITATION DAYS & TIMES: 

Visitation is by the inmate's last name 

  • TUESDAY A-K 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • WEDNESDAY L-Z 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 
  • SATURDAY A – K 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. 
  • SUNDAY L – Z 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. 

All special visitation and clergy visitation must be set up through the Jail Major or Captain by calling the main jail number.

RULES FOR VISITORS 

  • Obey all directives from the Jail Staff 
  • No one under 17 years of age allowed unless accompanied by an adult 
  • You must have proper valid picture identification 
  • Only immediate family allowed and you must be on the visitation list 
  • You cannot have been incarcerated in our facility within the last 6 months 
  • You must be properly dressed
  • ​No hats 
  • No sunglasses 
  • No sleeveless shirts or dresses 
  • No spandex pants, spandex shorts or other form-fitting clothes 
  • No low cut, backless or transparent shirts 
  • No hand-carried items (cell phones, purses, backpacks, diaper bags, etc.) 
  • No chewing gum 
  • No torn shirts, pants, or shorts 
  • Shorts, skirts or dresses must be below the knees 
  • Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated 
  • No cigarettes, lighters, or chewing tobacco allowed 
  • Children left outside must be supervised by an adult 
  • No food or drinks allowed 

NOTE: Once you walk out of the facility, your visit is considered terminated for that visitation session.
