This facility is for adult inmates.

The Trego County Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 525 Warren Ave Wakeeney, KS which is operated locally by the Trego County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Trego County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Wakeeney Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

visitation Info

Immediate Family Only Allowed Visitation. Visitation is Thursday from 2:00p.m.-3:00p.m. All juveniles must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visits are 15 minutes long. Visitors must leave ALL personal items (purses, cell phones, cameras, food, etc…) in their vehicle. They will only be allowed car keys. YOU WILL BE ENTERING A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. 

For non-immediate family members or people living out of the area we offer video visitation. Follow the registration process below to set up the video visitation account. 
 

The Visitor Registration Process

1. Go to www.homewav.com.
2. Select "New Visitor" button.
3. Fill in required visitor Information
4. Check off the name of the jail and the name of the inmate you want to visit as requested.
5. Complete the Audio/Video & Internet Speed Tests located on the same page.
6. Create a PayPal account at http://www.paypal.com. PayPal is the only payment method accepted for visits.
7. Purchase minutes to visit a specific inmate using PayPal
   50 cents per minute (1 minute minimum)
   $10.00 for a 20 minute visit

CONDUCT

If a video visitor is:

• Disruptive
• Acts in an inappropriate manner
• Not properly dressed
  OR
  If during the video visit, an inmate becomes:
• Disruptive
• Acts in an inappropriate manner
• Becomes not properly dressed

The visit will be stopped by staff and future visitation privileges may be revoked.

ALL VISITS MAY BE MONITORED AND RECORDED
