The Tuscola County Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 420 Court St Caro, MI which is operated locally by the Tuscola County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Tuscola County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Caro Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
Money may be deposited into inmate accounts through the kiosk at the front door (or online at expressaccount.com). With this, they can purchase phone time, hygiene items, writing paper, snacks, clothing, etc on a weekly basis.
Staff cannot give out private information such as medical information or how much money an inmate has in his/her accounts. Visitation is a very busy time. If you have questions regarding court dates, out-dates, etc. Please ask the person you’re visiting about their status.
