The Wakulla County FL Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 15 Oak St Crawfordville, FL which is operated locally by the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Wakulla County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Crawfordville Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.


The Wakulla County Detention Facility is largest division within the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office. Its functions and programs are related to the care, custody, and control of individuals incarcerated. The Detention Facility was constructed in 1991 with a rated capacity of 139 inmates. In 2004, an additional wing was constructed to house approximately 200 inmates for a total rated capacity of 350. The facility is divided into two sections: one for local inmates and one for immigration detainees.
