Warren Residential Community Home basic information to help guide you through what you can do for your inmate while they are incarcerated. The facility's direct contact number: 908-453-2032

This facility is for juvenile residents.

Warren Residential Community Home (RCH) was established in 1960 as a home for at-risk youth and has been in operation for that purpose to the present day. Today, Warren RCH is a staff-secured facility capable of housing 30 male residents over the age of 16. It specifically serves those residents identified with substance abuse problems.

It is the mission of the Warren RCH to create a safe, caring and supportive environment that provides all students with the opportunity to achieve personal and academic growth, and to become productive members of the community.

Residents at the New Jersey Training School who are over 16 years old, with a sentence between 30-40 months excluding charges of arson, homicide, manslaughter or sexually related charges who have been assigned through the Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC) Classification Committee, are eligible for admission. Program completion is determined by the New Jersey State Parole Board and is based on the length of sentence and program performance.

Residents receive educational and vocational services, individual and group substance abuse counseling, Phoenix gang intervention, character building, job readiness/life skills classes, coping skills, and Aggression Replacement Training, which encompasses moral reasoning and pro-social skill training and anger control techniques. In addition, residents are eligible for family counseling, parenting/fatherhood groups, the Preparation for Independence program, employment and the Supportive Work Program, as well as online college courses.

Individual treatment needs are determined by a Comprehensive Intake Assessment (CIA) and updated monthly through Case Action Plan (CAP) meetings.

Warren RCH residents regularly participate in community service activities in the local community. Residents currently volunteer their time with Common Sense for Animals (animal shelter), Turn a Frown Around at Brakley Nursing Home and community cleanup projects. Aftercare services are provided through Juvenile Parole and Transition in conjunction with the Warren CAP Team.

visitation Info

Visitation for state juvenile facilities is limited to immediate family only. Mother, father, sisters, and brothers are acceptable. The visitation rules are very strict, we suggest reaching out to the staff to get their specific limitations.
