This facility is for adult inmates.
The Webster County MO Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 101 S Crittenden St Marshfield, MO which is operated locally by the Webster County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Webster County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Marshfield Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.
- Inmates housed in the cell sections of WCDF have access to phones in designated areas and are granted use of them.
- Telephone calls from WCDF’s business phones will only be accepted to call a bondsman or an attorney with a reasonable amount of time.
- Inmates may give friends and family the number for Encartele (866-476-6723) to set up and pay for accounts to call.
PHONE PRIVILEGE LIMITATIONS:
Victim/ Witness tampering by use of the phone will not be tolerated.
- Telephone harassment by calling a person continually that does not wish to talk to you will not be tolerated.
- Use of the phones for obscene or threatening purposes will result in the loss of phone privileges.
- Any complaint from outside sources will result in the loss of phone privileges.
- All phone calls are to be collect, except for the phone calls made during the booking process to a local number. Long distance calls made during the booking process will be collect.
- The inmate phones will not receive incoming calls. The only messages from the outside that will be passed on to the inmates are for a family member being hospitalized and/or death, and then only after confirmation of this information.
- The use of WCDF phone for 3-way calling will not be tolerated.
- Violations of the above will result in the loss of phone privileges, and possible criminal prosecution as prescribed by state and federal laws.
All phone calls may be monitored and recorded.
PHONE PRIVILEGES FOR DISCIPLINARY UNITS:
- Inmates who are segregated as a result of rule violations will be allowed to place calls during their breaks only. All calls will be made on the inmate telephones, unless calling a bondsman or an attorney.
INMATE MAIL PROCEDURES
All incoming mail is checked for contraband by detention staff. Professional mail (Legal and Governmental) will be accepted. Mail that is clearly labeled as legal/governmental mail will be opened and examined for contraband in your presence, and will not be read by detention staff. Non-legal/Non-governmental mail is accepted in the form of postcards. This practice provides a safer, contraband-free environment for both inmates and detention staff. Pictures will be accepted but only limited to 3. Postcards and Stamped envelopes for legal mail can be purchased through Commissary at www.webstercountypackages.com Postcards and outgoing legal mail must have the senders full name and address, failure to do so will be returned to you to for correction. You are responsible for advising family and friends of the proper mailing address.
All postcards not meeting the standards below will be sent back to sender.
- Postcards containing stickers, adhesive labels, watermarks, stains, lipstick, and or any altercation will be returned to sender
- Mail from another Penal Institution
- Postcards containing foreign substances and/or scents (powder or liquid)
- No violence, obscene language and/or inappropriate reading material

Webster County Jail – Visitation
- All visits are on Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and for up to 30 minutes each.
- Visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance starting (by 9:00 am) on Friday in order for the screening process to be completed for the Saturday visit.
- Visitors may only visit one inmate per week.
- Inmates may only have one visit per week.
- All visitors must be 17 years of age or older to visit, otherwise accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.
- No more than three adult people per visitation time slot.
- Visitors who have been in jail in the past 90 days will not be allowed to visit.
- Visitors on Probation or Parole must have written approval from their P & P Officer prior to visiting.
- All adult visitors must have a photo ID in their possession at the time of the visit.
- All other property on the visiting person must no be brought past the lobby door. Only automobile keys and a photo ID will be allowed past the lobby door.
- Visitors with restraining orders involving an inmate or listed as a no-contact bond condition will not be allowed to visit said inmate.
Denial or Termination of a visit
A. The visit may be denied or terminated and visiting privileges suspended under any of the following circumstances
- Failure of the visitor to show up at the scheduled time of the visit
- Introduction or attempted introduction of contraband into a jail facility (May result in criminal charges)
- Visitors that appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- An inmate can request at any time not to visit the person signed up to visit
- Insufficient space available
- Refusal by a visitor to submit to search procedures
- Refusal or failure to produce sufficient identification or falsifying of identifying information by a visitor
- Failure to prevent children from disturbing others
- Inappropriate display of affection, suggestive activity or inappropriate dress
- A visitor with visible body markings or jewelry by its nature would promote or cause adversarial reactions because of racial, ethnic or religious beliefs will not be permitted to remain in the jail's general public area, inside or outside of the jail
- Dress that excites the sense; transparent clothing, exposed breasts, exposed genitalia is not appropriate and not allowed for visitors. Short shorts and tank tops (male and female), and/or bare feet are not considered appropriate dress for a jail setting
- Other conduct or conditions deemed by the Jail Supervisor?Administrator as disruptive to the security or orderly operation of the visitation process
B. Repeated violations of any of the above standards may result in the denial of visiting for an extended period of time
C. Special visits may be scheduled by DFS, P & P, clergy and/or an attorney
