This facility is for adult inmates.

The Wyandot County OH Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 125 East Wyandot Ave Upper Sandusky, OH which is operated locally by the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Wyandot County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Upper Sandusky Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

Inmate Funds / Commissary Account Information

The Wyandot County Jail has a Swanson Services Corporation Kiosk in the lobby for the purpose of adding funds to an inmate commissary account. The kiosk accepts Debit/Credit Cards (Visa/Mastercard) and Cash (Paper money only – No coins). To use the kiosk you will be required to know the inmate's name and date of birth, or the inmates Jail ID#.

Deposits to an inmate commissary account can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Funds are typically available to the inmate within 24 hours.

Funds can also be deposited by telephone, by calling 1-888-277-2535.

When adding money to an inmate account by telephone or online you must provide the following information: Inmate's name, Jail ID#, and location (Wyandot County Jail) and the pay location code (5500).

There is a convenience fee to use these systems, which is set by the respective company.

The provided phones must be used during inmate visitation. Violation of Facility Rules may result in suspension of Inmate privileges.

Visitation Requirements

Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Facility is a CRIME and is Punishable by Law

Requirements for Entry into the Facility
IDENTIFICATION: Visitors must be 18 years of age and provide a valid State or Federal issued picture identification: ex. Driver's License, State Identification card, School Identification card, Passport. Visitors under the age of 18 must be family, directly related by ancestry or marriage and accompanied by their legal guardian. A birth certificate may be requested for identification of children.
REGISTRATION: Visitors are required to register on the Visitor Sign-In Form providing name, address, and prisoner relationship. Entrance may be denied to disorderly or intoxicated persons. Failure to provide proper identification may also cause entrance to be denied. Visitors must be properly attired to gain entry – shoes or sandals are required. Visitors wearing transparent, low-cut, and/or revealing clothing, halter tops/tube tops will not be allowed to visit. Visitors whose attire is deemed inappropriate will be denied visiting privileges.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS No personal items, such as handbags, umbrellas, packages, hats, coats, cell phones, etc. are permitted in the visiting room. Visitors are requested to leave personal belongings at home or in their vehicle. No food or beverages are allowed.
LENGTH OF VISIT

Each prisoner will be allowed two (2) visits per week. Duration of each visitation period shall not exceed fifteen (15) minutes. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied in the visiting room by their legal guardian. Children not entering the visiting room must remain in the lobby and be watched by a responsible adult.

Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Any person determined to be disruptive to the orderly operation of the Jail will be asked to leave the premises.

SEARCH All visitors and their personal belongings are subject to search. No knives, firearms or other dangerous weapons are allowed in the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office.
